ABOUT US
My Ayurvedic Path

Michelle
My Ayurvedic Path is a boutique, home-based Ayurvedic Wellness Clinic located in the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast, founded by Ayurvedic Consultant, Michelle Palano. Nurturing by nature, Michelle brings a deeply compassionate and intuitive touch to all her treatments. Her practice invites you to experience the restorative and rejuvenating properties of traditional Ayurvedic therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and Katti/Greeva Basti. Each treatment is lovingly performed with warm, medicated herbal oils to nourish the mind, body, and senses — promoting balance, renewal, and inner harmony.
Michelle completed her practicum at the Health Institute Australasia, a government-accredited registered training organisation founded and operated by Shanti Gowans — a renowned yogi, spiritual teacher, and Living Master. Under Shanti’s inspiring mentorship, Michelle gained profound insight into the ancient healing sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, learning with great respect and gratitude for her wisdom and guidance.

Over the years, Michelle has facilitated numerous Yoga and Ayurveda wellness detox retreats in the serene foothills of the Scenic Rim region and has continued to expand her studies in Ayurvedic nutrition and cooking. Her curiosity and dedication to holistic wellness have also led her to explore complementary modalities such as Reiki in the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Natural Healing, a Pranayama Masterclass for Relaxation, Awareness, Energy and Rejuvenation, and the Mindful Abundance Course.

In October 2024, Michelle travelled to India with her mentor, Caroline Byrd — a distinguished Intuitive Therapist, Reiki Master, Author, Meditation Practitioner, and Breathwork Facilitator. They spent three weeks at Johari House, part of Seema Agarwal’s Spiritual Vacations in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. During this sacred journey, Michelle undertook further studies in the 7 Breaths of Life Meditation, based on the teachings of Harish Johari — a North Indian Tantric scholar, author, poet, artist, and musician.

Michelle’s Ayurvedic Health Consultations leave clients feeling both educated and empowered, with a renewed sense of clarity about how to nourish and support their unique constitution through personalised diet, lifestyle, and natural medicine recommendations. Many describe her sessions as a grounding and transformative experience — one that helps them reconnect with their own intuition and inner wisdom.

At My Ayurvedic Path, we honour the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda while embracing the insights of modern science. Our approach is holistic, integrative, and heart-centred — combining the timeless principles of nature with contemporary understanding to create an effective and meaningful healing experience.
We are dedicated to serving our community with integrity, compassion, and excellence, and to supporting the continued growth and evolution of Ayurveda in Australia and beyond.

"Ayurveda is the science of life and it has a very basic, simple kind of approach, which is that we are part of the universe and the universe is intelligent and the human body is part of the cosmic body."

How the Ayurvedic experience can benefit you
Ayurveda offers a comprehensive, totally holistic means of healthcare, with a vast history of clinical effectiveness, and unique treatments from counselling, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, bodywork, clinical meditation, and specific lifestyle regimes. Its legitimacy and importance has been recognised by the World Health Organisation.
Ayurveda’s strengths:
A unique understanding of life (Ayurveda literally means ‘the science of life’) and the unique expression of each individual life, the determination of which is particularly significant when designing a treatment program.
It is based upon laws inherent in nature, and all human beings, being a part of nature, need to know, to achieve harmony and balance.
As a holistic science, Ayurveda seeks to address health, not simply via diet, or only by a tablet or even an herb, nor an isolated treatment, but by creating a suite of individually specific guidelines involving diet, herbs, treatments, lifestyle, emotional healing to address the ‘whole person’.

"A quick Prakruti (Constitution) questionnaire will need to be filled out before all initial therapies to determine your body type (dosha) and ensure individual care."
One of the basic tools Ayurveda uses is constitution. This is a combination of the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha body–mind types. Your combination of these three types is unique to you and is expressed physically through your DNA.
